Valsamis Mitsilegas

Valsamis Mitsilegas is Professor of European and Global Law and Dean of the School of Law and Social Justice at the University of Liverpool. He is Co-Coordinator of ECLAN, and is currently serving for a fifth term on the European Commission's Expert Group on EU Criminal Policy. He is a member of the High Level Forum on the Future of EU Criminal Justice convened by the European Commission and the Polish Presidency of the European Union. He is the author of 11 books and over 150 articles and chapters and curator of over 25 edited volumes. He is the author of EU Criminal Law (2nd ed. Hart, 2022) and co-editor of the Research Handbook on EU Criminal Law (Edward Elgar, 2024).
