
Dr. iur. Kristīne Strada-Rozenberga is a Professor and Vice-Rector for Studies at the University of Latvia. Previously for many years, she served as Dean and Head of the Department of Criminal Law, Faculty of Law. She is the author of more than 130 scientific publications and studies, including over 20 monographs and textbooks – mainly focusing on criminal procedure. Among others, her key research areas are argumentation theory, proof and evidence in criminal procedure, simplified and special criminal proceedings, criminal liability of legal persons, and basic principles of criminal proceedings.
With more than 25 years dedicated to the academic arena, K. Strada-Rozenberga has tutored and elaborated numerous courses including Criminal procedure, Criminal aspects of business, Criminal risk analysis in business and organizational management, and developed several continuing education programmes for legal professionals.
Over the years she has actively engaged in shaping and developing Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure Law by participating in multiple Ministry of Justice working groups. Since 2013, K. Strada-Rozenberga has served on the Editorial Board of the New Journal of European Criminal Law.
K. Strada’s-Rozenberga’s contribution to the development of the justice system and the rule of law in Latvia and the world has been recognized by the Judicial System of Latvia by awarding her with the 1st–degree honorary badge.
