Katalin Ligeti is Dean of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance and Full Professor of European and International Criminal Law at the University of Luxembourg. Katalin Ligeti’s research focuses primarily on police and judicial co-operation in criminal matters, EU criminal law, comparative criminal procedure and economic and financial criminal law as well as the use of information technology in criminal proceedings. She is the president of the International Association of Penal Law and co-coordinator of ECLAN. Katalin Ligeti is frequently called for her expertise by European and national policy makers, international tribunals and international expert committees. She is editorial board member of several leading international outlets in criminal justice.
